THE NATURAL WORLD
I have chosen The Natural World as my option for the mock. I thought there would be a lot of photo opportunities and love the aspect of natural disasters and big landscape photographs. I also like the wildlife such as photographing lions and other mammals.
Tree light experiment |
I really like this picture because of the landscape and the burnt edges of the wood. It has good textures in the wood and is still on fire. This is a natural disaster and is very hard to fight this type of disaster. The rest of the landscape is undamaged but only this tree you can see the effect, this is good because it shows beauty and destruction.

These are a set of images that i made from school and was trying to get all natural surroundings. I took some good photos and focused on the leaves and trees.
Sebastiao Salgado
Meatyard was an American photographer from Illinois. He was born May 15th 1925 in United States and made many pieces of Art. For example 'Masked boy standing in the doorway', Detail of stone wall'. He went to Williams college. He died 7th May 1972 in Lexington, Kentucky United States.
Zen Twigs
These images inspired me to take some of my own so i went outside and try to get one thing in focus and the background blurred out.
Attempt No 1
My attempt at trying to recreate those set of images worked and turned out really well. It was hard at first to try and focus on the branches but then i came up with these images. The mood is quite dull and is in black and white so relates to the photographer. I was very satisfied with these outcomes and went out again with the same intentions for my final outcome.
First final outcome
Here I have refined one of my images and made added a sepia effect to it, from doing this there is more of a yellow background instead of the white. That is the most prominent effect I used as I like these the way they are. I change the colors for some of the images to make them stand out more and just give more live to the images.
Second final outcome
This image i took when i was trying to capture other aspects of nature, i found after some attempts that taking it in black and white suited more so you could see the darker colors. The picture is of a tree that had been cut down leaving the inside the bark exposed and had a lot of texture. This was one of my best pictures that i took around my school on the day.
